Ozempic works by mimicking GLP-1, a natural hormone that helps regulate blood sugar levels. This hormone stimulates insulin secretion, reduces glucagon production, and slows gastric emptying. This leads to feeling full and reduces food intake and cravings and leads to accelerated weight loss.
